Scavenger Hunt Update

The South Wood County Historical Scavenger Hunt is underway! We have received a couple of corrections to the directions included in the original printed clues:

  • Centralia Marker: The marker is located south of Ben Hansen Park.
  • John Jones Grave: The grave is located south of the Port Edwards boat landing.

We apologize for the confusion and appreciate those who brought these errors to our attention.

Need a printed brochure? Copies are available at the South Wood County Historical Museum and Olio Art & Music Center.

The scavenger hunt runs through August 25, 2026. Once you’ve visited all 10 locations, bring your photos to the museum to complete the hunt and be entered into the drawing for a 2027 South Wood County Historical Corporation membership.

We hope you’ll enjoy discovering the rich history of Wood County—one stop at a time!
