Research Materials

The South Wood County Historical Corporation has a wealth of research materials pertaining
to local history. If you would like to use our research library, we would be glad to arrange a
time for you to utilize our materials. To schedule an appointment, or to find out more information

We also sell several research items at the museum.. You can purchase books on local history written by Dave Engel or a video collection produced by Paul Gross. We also sell 1921 Wood County plat books and birds-eye view maps of Wausau (1879), Madison (1908), Stevens Point (1874 & 1891), and Grand Rapids (1874).
